This collects, I believe, all the audio recordings that J. R. R. Tolkien made of his writing. It includes excerpts from The Hobbit and all three books in The Lord of the Rings. There is also a selection of poetry, and a number of songs with music written by Donald Swann (not performed by Tolkien). Tape four, The Silmarillion of Beren and Lúthen, is read by Christopher Tolkien.
